Watch out for the signs of contaminated well water.
- Foul odors in your water
- Slime buildup in your toilet bowl or tank
- Stains in your laundry
These problems may indicate the growth of harmful bacteria like coliform and e-coli. A test can confirm the presence of bacteria.
If you have a contaminated well, let Rosick Well Drilling perform a process called water well shocking, which kills the bacteria and restores the safety of your water.
It's also a good idea to test your water every year, especially for the presence of coliform and e-coli. Regular testing helps you stay ahead of contamination growth.
Our shock process uses a chlorinated mixture to disinfect the sides of your well column and the well casing, as well as the fixtures throughout your home. It can take up to a day for the chlorine to thoroughly clean your pipes.
Once the chlorine treatment is complete, we'll ensure your well cap is secure and, if needed, reseal it to prevent further contamination. If you want us to, we can follow up and test again for bacteria.
